About Us

Éditions Temporis is an independent general literature publishing house, founded in Paris in January 2014 by Dominique Dardel and François d'Aubert.

Sharing a passion for reading and sharing knowledge, they built Temporis around a common conviction: great historical narratives, in-depth investigations, and human sciences deserve a dedicated publishing house.

Our editorial line revolves around history, politics, finance, and current events — areas where the rigor of the content competes with the pleasure of reading.

As an independent house, we pay close attention to each project, far from volume-driven strategies. Each book we publish is the result of a thoughtful choice and a dedicated support for the author and the manuscript, all the way to bookstores.

Ligne éditoriale

Editions Temporis has three editorial priorities:

  • HISTORY:
Biographies, historical novels, essays, memoirs, archives, original documents, including re-editions and translated works whose themes range from antiquity to contemporary history.

  • CURRENT AFFAIRS AND FORESIGHT:
Books with a geopolitical, economic and financial, political and social, scientific, cultural, sports, or legal focus, conceived through testimonies and documents. They also allow addressing, through concrete examples and investigations, everyday life issues.

  • DETECTIVE NOVELS:
Fictions based on fictionalized real events, structured around recurring characters rooted in French, European, or international "settings."

Choix des auteurs

Temporis Editions aims to be eclectic and open-minded: new authors or seasoned writers, academics and researchers, "Sunday historians" or biographers, journalists or bloggers, essayists or "adventurers," as well as those involved in political, diplomatic, economic, social, cultural, and sports life.

Why “Editions Temporis”?

TEMPORIS, GEN. SING. OF TEMPUS

[tempus, n:
time, n.m: duration considered in general; epoch, n.f: a specific period in history; instant, n.m: a very short moment; period, n.f: a span of time ]

The choice of the term "Temporis" echoes the editorial desires of the founders: to go back in time, to capture the present, and to anticipate the future.
